REPOSTED FROM THE TRANS-SCEND BLOG 2014 In general when I am speaking of 3d/4d/5d, I am speaking of a dimension of consciousness. Consciousness is roughly defined as an awareness of one's existence, thoughts, sensations and surroundings. Awakening is basically a term used to describe the difference in consciousness between being aware that you as a human are alive and being aware that you are not only alive as a human but much more. While many people are religious, and some even seek understanding of their world through a spiritual practice it is much more to be aware of yourself and this is what we mean when we say "awakened." Awakening is the state in which you becoming conscious of the difference between knowing yourself as an average human and knowing yourself as the awareness behind that. I know, I know, it sounds weird but the best way I have heard it explained is that you become aware of the fact that you are not the voice in your head but the observer of the voice in your head. It is an odd feeling to have always been stuck in the belief that no matter what is going on in my head I'm the one doing the prattling on to then become aware of the fact that if I really pay attention I'm actually the little presence aware of the prattler.
It isn't easy either and that isn't always how you start but it is probably the one that is most encouraged because it is generally through meditation that one does this. Meditation is very much encouraged throughout this whole process and there are many different ways to do it. I will get into it latter since it is/was one of the hardest things for me and I jumped around doing all kinds of things that I thought was "right" until I really learned what meditation actually is for me. the basis of the different types of consciousness or dimension of consciousness is found in that game I was talking about in "Awakening 101: Basics." there we learned a bit about the game and how we are trying to break out of it and into a new evolution of human. Evolution can basically be broken down into steps and the first step and the basis for the game was the third dimensional consciousness or 3D. 3D in a nutshell is your ego and the ego is the thing that is changing the most in this game but it is also the way we in which our ego gets us to act/react and resists change. You know every game we make up has rules and one of the rules of the ego is: resist change! At all cost in most cases. The 3D ego sees only in terms of survival and therefore categorizes everything into good and bad. This is what 3D consciousness is: duality. Our world around us full of duality, black and white, good and bad. Everything we do is based on this theory, it is the principle idea of the game, it is the basis for the denseness that we are here to move beyond and it is what holds many of us down and makes it so hard to transcend. Duality is the basic principle that there is always a right way and a wrong way. Our egos are built to use the concept of right and wrong to keep us alive. Some scientists have seen this as fight or flight and in essence it could be viewed that way as some things we stand up to and somethings we run from but it isn't about our physical survival, it is about the survival of the ego in its present state (holding us in the game) and what becomes of it when we move into 5D (basically enlightenment, though this is only a first step). In essence the ego struggles with awakening and fights it because it is trying to survive in its present state. Some people call 5D the death of the ego and this is not true, the ego just evolves but the ego is scared of that as we all are with change at times and so it fights it. In fact change is probably the biggest fear the ego has and so for a lot of us this struggle between not being aware (3D) and being fully awakened, or enlightenment as it was called by many cultures (5D) is where the 4th dimension comes in. I am currently writing you from a 4D consciousness (although most of the time this is streamed, or channeled, directly from my Higher Self and therefore is 5D and up, but that is a while other subject). Now, don't get caught up in the "goal" of 5D, it comes when it wants and it seems somewhat elusive but this is all part of the game. 4D is where we get to really get our hands dirty, so to speak, in the nitty gritty of the ego. We get to play at being psychiatrists, treasure hunters, explorers, detectives and anything else you need to do to unearth all the things that your soul has entrusted you to learn. Yep, this is school, but it isn't the pass/fail kind, so don't worry. It's really more like kindergarten if I thought about, it's fun, or at least it should be! Imagine doing an art project in kindergarten, if you aren't having fun and doing what you feel like doing at the time then you need to take a break (recess) and then come back in and look at it again. Believe me, I have to take a lot of recesses! So don't get discouraged, you aren't being graded and if we were we would all get E's (EFFORT), that's all that really matters. So let's recap: 3D is stuck thinking you are just human, you get up, go to work, pay bills, spend more money, bitch about not having any money, want more things, go back to sleep and then start it all again. 4D is when you go "what the heck was I thinking?" and then try and figure out just what and why you were thinking it. 5D is when everything is awesome no matter what is going on around you. Sounds simple enough, huh, well...
