REPOSTED FROM CRT 2013 Sean Webb has an excellent podcast that talks about attachments and how they relate to our everyday emotions. I highly recommend checking them out at his website. The ones I'm talking about are specifically in his BMS 101 series that you can check out by giving him your email. Attachments are almost anything you say after "I am..." It can be anything from your gender to your job to your standing in a family. It can also be an adjective, like "I am fat" or "I am stupid". None, let me say that again NONE of these things are actually what you truly are. But, to figure out what you really are you have to learn to get through all of those "I am's" and purge them from your thinking.
Listening to some basic information from Franco DeNicola will clue you in (clue as in a 2x4 to the head for me anyway) as to what you truly are "Who am I and what is my purpose in life?". A lot of what he talks about really hit home with me and helped me with a lot of the tougher "I am..." especially the ones from my childhood. The above video is very short and might be hard to take for some because it is so brief and he doesn't have time to go into the detail he goes into in this video, which was my introduction to Franco and the reason why I keep following his talks, clearings and meditations. I know this is a very short introduction but I am still working on purging most of my own attachments. I have gotten much better, I can also easily recognize when things come up for me and what is going on and that is due to listen to both Sean Webb and Franco DeNicola and at this time I don't believe I can give better info than those two.
