REPOSTED FROM THE TRANS-SCEND BLOG 2014
Why am I writing this, why do I care, why do I want to help, why do I want to share not knowing if anyone is really out there, and the answer: love. Everything is love, I know at this point that may sound funny to you, it did to me, but that is what we are, what we are made of and why we are here. We are pure, unconditional love and if we could just know that, understand it and overall feel it through and through none of this would matter, it would all be just one more experience in our human existence.
So I want to start at the beginning, of this particular ride anyway, with how we come to awaken. You can find list after list of things that you can/will experience while awakening. While anyone can go through any or all of these and still not seem to progress spirituality, I believe that these are actual prompts to awakening. Symptoms in a way, that you can either ignore, seek medical attention for, suppress with addictions, or use to stimulate your interest in and pursue spiritual enlightenment.
As I said you can find lists ranging from 10 things to over 50 signs of awakening. I've decided to only list the ones I actually experienced and know to be true. As I stated above I have had these things happen in the past and while our souls are always seeking opportunities to push us towards awakening it is only when we are finally ready that we start to see these as signs and not as everyday things.
In no particular order here are a list of things that mark someones awakening: Body aches and pains, Feeling of deep inner sadness for no apparent reason, Crying for no apparent reason, Sudden change in job or career, Withdrawal from family/friends/relationships, Unusual sleep patterns, Intense dreams, Physical disorientation, Increased “self talk,” Feelings of loneliness, even when in the company of others, Loss of passion, A deep longing to go Home.
As I said prior, these come and go for each of us and they do not present themselves in any particular order. I will go more in depth in further segments of this "Awakening 101: Signs" series in subsequent posts. I will attempt to illustrate how these all presented in my life, as each of us are different, especially if they happen to relate to being transgender. I hope this will help for those of you who are just entering your journey as well as those who have been walking the path for a while. After, I hope to get into some suggestions of what we find different about our world after we begin the awakening process.
